  1. Gary,

It was nice to see those C-124 photos appear. That plane is so rarely seen that than only a few photos are ever shown and its progenitor the C-74 has even less still pics and no videos (that I've ever seen of it).
As to that FJ-3 photo group. I've got that Ray Wagner book on Sabres and tried to convert the Ecci Fj-3 kit to a real early FJ-3. I got the nose converted, did the slats and got it painted Blue for VF33 markings painted the scalloped nose white then abandoned the project because of the lightning bolt. It's one thing to draw a lightning bolt on a flat plane (surface/tape) and another on a curved surface. If the mask is open ended it's a bitch to cut. The jagged bolt is no easy task (even horz bolt jags and an ever expanding bolt thicknesses) then apply it when cut. Doing it closed always make you wonder if the bolts don't wrap around at their joint with a curved section. So who made the decals? I hope it wasn't made to fit that silly nose Ecci kit? That colored colored photo of that VF-33 bird shows I missed the rear FJ-3 nose to FJ-2 body joint( I got it as a soft inwards bumped surface opposed to a gradually smooth surface blend). The angled downwards cannon ports were a bitch to see until after the mold was done.
The B-57 photos were really great to see as that B-57G usually done using the same 2 photos .

    yours truly
