Dual seat TF-102 picture.
Here is a great one from Bert Buss. Not many pictures of the dual seat TF-102;
This what Bert said.
This was the engine start package for the Deuce. The Joy MC-1M hi-pac and a MD-3. In the alert barn we had motor driven MC-1As for electricity. The MC-1M was essentially a stop-gap starter until the MC-11s came onboard. While the -1M could only give one shot to start without recharging, I think they could drag two attempts out of the -11s, which had more receiver capacity. That 3500psi went pretty quick in either case.

P-40Q
Curtiss tried to update the P-40. They ended up being a little too late. The P-51 and P-47 still outperformed the P-40Q. It was decided not stop the assembly line in ordered make the changes need to produce the "Q" model. To my eyes the P-40Q is nice looking aircraft.
Easy way to paint stripes on your bombs,
This tip is from Grant Barry.
Masking the yellow bands on bombs - you can buy sets of Orings, all different sizes and cheap. Just use the size that fits nicely on the size bomb you are doing. And they are reusable.

How to strip you airplane by Frank Chenshaw
Here is a great video Frank Chenshaw. Easy why to strip off the meshed up paint job.
Stripping paint with precision is an important skill. It's actually pretty easy to remove Lacquer and Acrylic paint using Tamiya Lacquer thinner and q tips

P-51 Mustang info
The big debate over natural finished P-51. The image below shows what was painted. Plus natural metal areas on the air
frame.
Light grey area is where the putty was applied on the wings. |
