1/72 C-47 by Boh
Here is another article Boh did way back. More than likely it was done in California. During the time he was a USAF recruiter in the San Francisco area. Remember Dave telling me that he and Mike Dairo wrote a ton of article the magazine. Also Dave said the editor was a cheap S.O.B as the payment for the article came very slow... Dave could work magic with an airbrush. Enjoy another blast from the past. Thanks to Charlie Dunton for providing the article.

1/48 A-7D by David Boksanski
Thanks to Charlie Dunton for provide this article on build a A-7D for the old Aurora kits. Scale Aircraft Modeler was the premier modelling magazine from the early sixties to the late 80's.. My bought the first issue off the local Drugs Store magazine rack for 50 cents. Charlie has more of Boh's articles. As soon as I give them I will post them here on the blog
Mr Hobby? Gunze thinners
Here are some charts about Gunze thinners. Personally I have found these thinner to be excellent. There is a lot of confuse over what types of thinners to use with the primer or paint you are using. Maybe this will clear it up some problems

Hurricane first 1/72 kit I built
I've been fascinated with the Hurricane since I was 12 years a old. It started when the newspaper where talking about the upcoming anniversary of the Battle of Britain. This sparked my interest, so I made a trip the Franklin Public Library on Mc Nichols in Detroit. Also known as 6 mile road. The library had made a display with Books about the Battle of Britain. One of the books was Fight Officer Badger. His story told about the battle and how he continued flight even with the loss of his legs in crash. His plane was the Hurricane. Later in the summer the local hardware store had a small model section. Low and Behold sitting on the shelf was the new (1963) Revell of England 1/72 Hurricane fighter. It could me mine for the princely sums of 35 cents. Needless to said the model came home with. This was the beginning of my life long journey in the model aircraft.

This is the kit if bought.

Gunze GSI Aqueous paints
The Gunze latest paint line. According to the maker the paint flows on the model better. Plus the surface is very durable. This is good as some of the paints I use scratch to easy from handling. My plan is to purchase some of this paint shortly.
