  1. A great set of photos. One can only wonder how its history would have been more notable had its J-40 been replaced by the J-57. Consigned to be only a footnote in the F4's design history because of the use of the J-71 (note similarity between B-66 and A3D histories). The art work on the cover of Model Airplane News during the mid 50's of that air intakes made me forever be interested in the F3H units. And the thrill of seeding that Emhar was releasing a kit to replaace the Air Model vac-u-form.
