A tribute to old friend Gerry Bryd

Gerry and I go back to around 1976. At that time we where both TARS in the Naval Reserve. Our Squadron was VP-93 at Selfridge ANGB, Michigan.

I'm posting this photo as a tribute to my friend Gerry Byrd. We where squadron mates in VP-93 for a number of years. I told him about the Guard technician jobs with the Phantoms and A7's. Few weeks later he was in the Guard. We enjoyed many a cruise killing brains at the club. Also in the barracks. I found out only a couple month ago he passed. Lasted talked to him, he was shipping out to Qatar. Fair sailing my friend. Gerry was an aviation tech on the F-4's and F-16s. He got riffed out to a office job. But later got back to the Squadron that now had C-130's

Unfortunately he pasted 31 Mar 2016.

Gary Kowalski, Linda Bullis and Gerry Byrd.

Gerry was my soldering instructor. He didn't like my slobbering..............never did get "c or B' levels...........I think that's what I was going for.

We used to run into each other at kids soccer games. And of course drill weekends. Gerry passed same day and hospital as my late husband John. JD he used to attend Old Fart Luncheons. Always happy and friendly.
